GOOFGADUUD (Jubaland TV) – The District Commissioner of Goofgaduud, Hon. Buurey Hussein Aden Gudow, and the Commander of the 46th Battalion, 8th Brigade (60th Division) of the Somali National Army (SNA), Mukhtar Osman, held a high-level security meeting this evening with various sectors of the local community.
Objectives of the Meeting
The meeting, which aimed at strengthening local stability, was attended by traditional elders, religious scholars, intellectuals, women’s groups, and youth representatives. The primary focus of the discussions included:
- Strengthening Cooperation: Enhancing the working relationship between the district administration, the public, and security agencies.
- Security Reinforcement: Encouraging citizens to play an active role in maintaining peace by sharing actionable information with security forces to prevent potential threats.
- Community Partnership: Motivating youth and elders to take a proactive stance in the peace-building and development initiatives of Goofgaduud.
Leadership Address
Commissioner Buurey Hussein and Commander Mukhtar Osman commended the residents of Goofgaduud for their unwavering support of the security forces. They emphasized that peace is the foundation of development and called for a united front to protect the district from any external threats.
The traditional elders and intellectuals present pledged their full cooperation with the military and local government to ensure that Goofgaduud remains safe, stable, and prosperous.
